I think your romanticization of nature prevents you from seeing the inconvenient truth: Nature is morally indifferent and blind to the vast suffering caused by its mechanism of evolution. Evolution is a brutal system in which the overwhelming majority of each generation perishes before reaching sexual maturity (usually a gruesome, often slow death) and the prize for those surviving long enough is spawning the next generation into this merciless arena called nature. Yes, there are individuals, such as you, me, and a lot of other human and non-human beings who, at least temporarily, enjoy their lives and who owe this joy to the evolutionary process. But at what cost!
